This is where I will do more Daigo-worshipping.

First of all, let me just say that I'm lucky with CD Japan this time. No glitch at all in the shipment. It arrived as scheduled, within three days of shipment. It was packed securely but not formidable enough that it was hard to open and the DVD inside was in mint condition. No disturbance from customs, no delay from the post... this is what I like.

The DVD contents' length is surprisingly short. Maybe I was hoping too much that it'd be something like Kouichi Domoto's SHOCK Digest. In a way it might be but I still find it short. In any case, if I compare to SHOCK Digest, it's definitely more fulfilling. At least here, I get to see the full-length of all Daigo PVs and the making, with him doing the commentary on what was significant from the making. Speaking of which, I had never seen [MARIA] before and it was the first time I saw the PV in this DVD. I have to admit, [EIEN NO SPACE COWBOY] might be my favorite Daigo PV for its stunning colors and visuals, but [MARIA] is where Daigo looks most handsome. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him for the first time. His hair, his face, his body... he looks like a beautiful fallen angel in [MARIA] PV. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, there's a scene where Daigo hangs on to a pole that had a silver curtain behind him that was blown by the wind and stuff... during that scene, I thought Daigo's hands/wrists were somehow tied to the pole? My naughty mind was screaming, "BONDAGE!" XD Hahahah... but that's just me. Anyway, he looked so sexy and despite the gloomy background of the video, I think it was the perfect vision for the song [MARIA]. Good job on that one.

From Daigo's descriptions about the MAKING of the videos, I found some very interesting things:

- The dancers in EIEN NO SPACE COWBOY are... MALES?! XD Hahahahahaha... I would have never guessed it in a million years. They're drags, then? ^^;;; OK, this revelation is beyond scary. I'm in great shock. I always thought that they were girls! I forgot their names, but one of them is called Bobby I think. They're from Hawaii. They asked Daigo to take pictures with them. Lucky them! Another note on the making of this video... well, this is actually not something that happened in the making... but I was melting when he mimicked his conversation with the director of the PV who suggested that he had a flying scene in the PV. He voiced the director (in the making), "Daigo-kun, tondemiru?" And Daigo's reply at that time, which he repeated in the making, "Eh? Tobu?" Ohhhhhh, the way he says it is soooooooo sweet. I don't know how to explain it. It's something you have to see for yourself. But I just love, love, loooooooooove this part.

- In Hokkaido, when shooting [DAISY], it seemed that some fans were able to meet him and he greeted them. In one of the clips, I saw him hugging this girl and I assumed that it was his fans. It seemed extremely cold in Hokkaido at that time and I could see Daigo shivering. Poor guy, but it still looked like he was having fun! ^_^

- Dancing Daigo in [ROCK THE PLANET] PV! Don't you just love seeing him rehearse his routines in between shoots? He's a very good dancer. I'd say if he joins a boy band, he'd be one of the best dancers. Hahaha. He talked about the choreography but I didn't catch what he said because I was just too busy watching him having so much fun during the shoot. (I envy him, really. He looks like he's having fun all the time. XD)

This DVD also realizes my dream, because I've always wanted to see a live performane of [SUMMER ROSE], one of my favorite Daigo songs ever and this DVD shows just that. The performance is even more beautiful that I had imagined because Daigo is wearing that assymmetrical top that I love to see! It's great to see him perform [SUMMER ROSE] with such an energy. He looks so charged and dynamic and... wow, he even rocked his hips! That is just plain wonderfuuuulllll. Drool fest for me, you can bet on that. Seeing this performance just solidifies the song's status for me, it's ONE OF THE BEST DAIGO SONGS I've ever heard.

It's not Daigo-ish to not do something really cute that can send every fangirl rolling on the floor, not laughing, but worshipping him even more. In my case, the something cute that sent me rolling to the floor, both laughing and screaming fangirlishly and end up worshipping him more than I already do, is the last part, LESSON. This is where he teaches his fans to use the Daigo greeting: "Yatto, aeta ne!" After he demonstrates how to say this greeting he presses his hand to the back of his ear as if hearing whether his 'students' were doing the correct example. As if that's not already cute, he just had to say, "OK! Very good!" Oh my God... *PALPITATIONS* He speaks English a lot in this session! It is just plain sugary sweetness. I love it guys who look cool when they're doing their art but are totally boke in real life. And that, my friends, is how Daigo Stardust is.

Do I have any complaints about the DVD?
Just this: Daigocchi, it's too short!!! Give us more!!! ... and by the way, where's that LOTTE COOL SHOCK CM that you made?
(Hmmm, I thought I could see the LOTTE CM, but no, they didn't include here. Maybe it wasn't that important. XD Haha~ Anyway.)

I hope all Daigo fans will be able to get this DVD! They should!

Oh yeah, last night, while watching the DVD for the first time, the electricity went out twice, and before I realized it I was crying. I was literally crying because I was interrupted while watching my beautiful Daigocchi. My mom said, "Come on, get over it, you can see it again later when the power is back up." But I was just sad because I wanted to see it in its entirety for the first time. :\ Anyway, so I ended up having to repeat some parts after each time the power went down. It was frustrating. It was almost impossible to enjoy Daigocchi like that. But anyway, in the end, when the electricity was back to completely normal, I watched from the beginning again.

This DVD is definitely staying in the player. I am not moving it out, at least until I get my LOTR: ROTK Extended Edition DVD, which won't arrive until early January. Haha~ So I will wait for ROTK with Daigocchi. *huggles the Starry boy* I love you Daigocchi~ <3

Everything you've said, I whole-heartedly agree with. Well, except for one thing ^^; For me, the DVD was a perfect length...or the length I was expecting it to be, anyhow. I got to see all of his PVs in their entirety, some concert footage...I think that is the one thing I would complain about, if I were to complain about anything? I would have loved to have seen more concert footage. Or at least have heard him perform some of 'Rock the Planet', not just see him come out in the outfit and then promptly show the finish! That is completely wrong..! Seeing 'Feather' was just...magical though, don't you think? :D Just Daigo and his guitar...and it just reinforces how incredibly sweet that song is, seeing it performed like that. But you know, seeing pictures of him and how he looked at that concert(thanks to you <3) truly is nothing compared to actually seeing living, breathing Daigo work the stage in those outfits. When he first came out...in the black outfit, and the elaborate feather thingit?(Which always reminds me of Brian Slade when I see it! Or maybe more of Jack Fairy, how he looked at the 'Death of glitter' show, toward the end of the movie. Which was an outfit totally inspired by Brian Eno anyhow, I know it <3). It was nothing short of breathtaking, really. He just looked so good. And the same goes for that second outfit he wore...during 'Summer rose' and such? He looks all the more good in it when you are actually seeing it in that concert(I don't even want to imagine how even -better- he would have looked if I had actually been in the audience...). But I find I am constantly having to defend this outfit, because it keeps getting trashed on XD I have to keep saying that no, he really does look good in it! Really! XDD

I suppose the most I can currently hope for is a second DVD being released, but this time, a full length concert one~ I have to see him perform 'Queen Stardust' again :D Oh, and I wouldn't mind seeing 'Ash&Diamonds' done live as well...

I was expecting to see the Lotte Cool Shock commercial as well though...I wonder why that wasn't included...? That is one other thing I had a bit of a complaint with... but do you know, if I were ever somewhere where they actually showed any of those ads on television, and I saw them myself...? I would just die XD I want to be able to see Daigo promoting his new releases on TV ;_;

Oh, and Lesson. Goodness. I tell you, that portion of the DVD -had- to have been the thing I reacted the most intensely to... as soon as I heard him say "Okay! Very good", I just completely lost it XD He says the word "good" so cutely...! I've watched the Lesson three times all the way through now, and I think I won't mind watching it many more than that, expressly for that part~ I love it <3 One thing though. If you could, would you please tell me what "Yatto, aeta ne!" means in English? I've already committed the phrase to my memory, and it would be kind of nice to know what I am saying exactly when I walk around the house repeating it... XD

It's good that you think it was the perfect length. Actually, there's no problem with the length... LOL! But when you're on Daigo high, don't you just want more? I do! :P Haha~

I am completely with you about "ROCK THE PLANET" footage! It was like, "What? That's it?! JUST THAT?! NOOOO... GIVE ME MORE!"

But "FEATHER", yes, just magical... I forgot to mention about Feather. But I am so in love with the image of him playing the guitar. It's a heartmelting moment for me. *_*

Which always reminds me of Brian Slade when I see it! Or maybe more of Jack Fairy, how he looked at the 'Death of glitter' show, toward the end of the movie. Which was an outfit totally inspired by Brian Eno anyhow, I know it <3.

Agree on all accounts!

Heh, how did that "Summer Rose" outfit get trashed on a lot? I think it's beautiful! Even my sister, who is not a big fan of Daigo, admits that he looks fantastic in that outfit.

Oooooh, now I really want to go to Japan and watch him perform! It must be amazing. Imagine if we can just go to Japan, attend the concert and a hug event... T_____T Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. Not because I don't know when that'll be possible but because I think that would be one lovely moment in my life.
As for the 2nd DVD, yeap, I'm right there with you: I WANT A FULL-LENGTH CONCERT DVD!!! (And while we're on the subject of 2nds, I now can't wait to hear his 2nd album. @_@ When is it coming out?)

"Yatto, aeta ne" means "finally, we meet again". That's what he always says in his greetings. That is very endearing. It's like he trusts his fans to always follow his news (which we do, yes, Daigo, we follow you!!! >.<) And don't forget the hand gesture~ I thought that was really cute. He just had to do it, didn't he? He just had to make me melt even more? I think this is the part of the DVD that I overplay... I hope I didn't scratch my disc. ^^;;;; I did that greeting to my colleague at work who understands Japanese and he said, "Uh-oh, where did you get that greeting? Which artist is it this time?" And I said, "Daigo Stardust!!!" And he replied, "Which one is he again?" And I started to gladly explain to him all over again who is Daigo Stardust... :D

This entry makes me wanna cry. Huhu. entah kenapa. mungkin karena gue udah agak2 jarang jadi an overexcited fangirl kali ya. (LOH?)
